Empower social connection through games
Goal: Improve Words With Friends game experience and user engagement across various platforms.
Role: Experience Design Intern at Zynga. I worked on user experience and visual style of Words With Friends 2 mobile app, created marketing assets for Words With Friends on Facebook Messenger, designed a seasonal app icon for classic WWF, and improved experience of a feature called Smart Match as the capstone project.

Next Generation Game Experience
During Spring 2017, I was an Experience Design Intern at Zynga San Francisco. During my 12 weeks internship, I worked closely with Words With Friends team to build the next generation of our game on mobile, which allow users to create a game quicker, improve skills in Solo Challenges, and enjoy a fast game through team mode. I worked on both UX/UI design of several key screens, including Store, Weekly Challenge, Smart Match, Registration, settings, etc. I redefined several flows to reduce fractions, refreshed visual system with the team, and aimed to create THE MOMENT for players from an emotional standpoint.
The new game has reached more than 500,000 users worldwide since its global release in November 2017, and ranked No.1 in free games category on App Store. Download the game through iTunes or Google Play!

WWF Instant Game on Messenger
Marketing Visuals Design
Besides mobile experience design, I also worked on Words With Friends on Messenger for its debut in April, 2017. As one of the first game on Facebook Messenger, I helped create visual design and several marketing assets, including the loading screen of the game. It was released during my internship, and was seen by more than 600k Messenger players now!

As the first task of my internship, I designed a spring theme app icon for the classic version of our game. The goal was to refresh the app icon with a seasonal look and remind current users to connect with their friends through the game. It launched on both Android and iOS platform as our app icon from April till July, 2017.
